Roy J. Blitzer has 30 years’ experience as a human resources and business management professional. He has held numerous positions, such as Manager of Training and Corporate Communications, Founding Principal, Vice President, and Senior Executive Consultant.

Roy’s accomplishments include:

  • Coordination and delivery of world-wide training services from career management seminars for individual contributors and skill building sessions for managers to strategy and team development activities for senior staff.
  • Creation of a corporate-wide climate survey which included all levels of feedback collection, dissemination, and action planning.
  • Service as founding principal, Vice President, and Senior Executive Consultant for Zenger Miller, a training, education, and consulting company, spearheading annual growth from 50-100% per year. As chair and creator of the Instructor Certification process and Customer Service Operations, also established Human Resource system for 300 person staff.
  • Consultation to organizations implementing organization change with service quality, self-managing teams, and other high-employee-interventions.
  • Counsel with senior industry leaders in executive development and career management activities that resulted in meeting personal improvement goals.
Roy works with numerous assessment tools (MBTI–Myers-Briggs, Strong, Birkman, FIRO-B, 360 Feedback, etc.) and has a BA in English Literature from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and an MBA in Organizational Behavior from the University of California at Berkeley. He is an adjunct faculty member at the University of San Francisco, San Jose State University, and Menlo College; sits on the Board of Directors for the Institute of Social Responsibility and the Institute for Effective School Leadership; and is former chair the Palo Alto, CA Human Relations Commission.

Roy has been published in numerous journals and magazines and has authored five books:

In addition to producing and hosting his television show ASK “DR” BUSINESS, Roy is a regular guest on NBC Channel 11’s BAY AREA SATURDAY and is a frequent speaker at national professional conferences.

A partial list of Roy's clients includes Levi Strauss & Co., GAP, Inc., American President Lines, Solectron Corporation, Wells Fargo, Bain & Company, Genentech, and the County of Alameda.
