calendar of events "Not the State Budget Rescue Elections" BGS-SF Alumni Chapter Officer Elections with Guest Speaker Dr. Karsten Jeske. Where: San Francisco State University Graduate School of Business - Downtown Campus 835 Market Street, 5th Floor (BART access) San Francisco, CA 6-8:30pm When: Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 Dr. Karsten Jeske is a Senior Quantitative Analyst at Mellon Capital Management in San Francisco. Previously, he worked as an economist in the Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and as a visiting economics professor at Emory University. Dr. Jeske's academic research has analyzed the impact of government sponsored enterprises on the mortgage market, the economic effects of energy prices, and the market for health insurance. His work has been published in the Journal of Political Economy, Journal of Monetary Economics, Journal of Money Credit and Banking and Economics Letters and has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal. Dr. Jeske did his undergraduate degree at the University of Bielefeld in Germany and received an M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Minnesota. Get ready to review the world's portfolio.
