Chapter Elections & Workshop:
Achieving Success
Through Social Capital
Eleni Pallas
Wednesday, June 9th, 2010 → 6:00-8:00pm
Business Development Coach
Beta Gamma Sigma Colleague
Come join us in exploring success through the strategic expansion of social capital. Distinct from networking, building and
developing social capital has been proven by economists and business people alike to be statistically more effective and
experientially easier and more fulfilling.
Eleni Pallas (pallasco.com) is a business development coach who has 25 years of professional experience building businesses
through partnerships and acquisitions around the world. Within the social capital paradigm, she is a bridge that creates
links between people that would not necessarily occur without her global perspective and cross-industry experience.
Eleni plans to touch upon the following aspects, engaging the audience in an interactive discussion:
- The distinction between networking and social capital from an effectiveness perspective
- The benefits of social capital and the way it raises the bar on your success
Exercise: assessing your current social capital
- Building social capital
Exercise: identifying ways to build social capital
- Strategies for expanding social capital
